Google NatCap Apps

is the internal productivity and collaboration tool used by members of Civil Air Patrol's National Capital Wing, which is powered by
 

Google Workspace Logo

All members of the wing are eligible to register for a National Capital Wing Google Workspace account, which is separate from the national CAP eServices portal. All questions and concerns should be directed to NatCap IT at it@natcapwg.cap.gov. Your information will be verified with NHQ through eServices prior to being granted an account. Please wait until you receive your CAPID number if you are new to CAP. It may take a week before your account is set up. Please be patient. You will receive an instructional email once your new account is active.

NatCap Apps Shortcuts

Click on the icons below to go directly to that Google Workplace platform. You will need to sign in to your NatCap Apps account for access.

NatCap Wing Intranet Site

This is an internal Google Site that serves as a hub for all member-only content. A NatCap Apps account is required to access. If you are on your cell phone, your must be signed in to your NatCap Apps account on the mobile web browser otherwise you may see an error. (Intranet.NatCapWing.org)

Gmail

This is an official CAP email service for both the natcapwg.cap.gov and natcapwing.org domains.

Calendar

This is your personal NatCap online calendar service. To add and view the NatCap Wing Activities Calendar to your own calendar, click here, then click the "+GoogleCalendar" bottom on the bottom right of the screen.

Drive

This is a file storage and synchronization service that allows users to store files on their servers, synchronize files across devices, and share files. It includes Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.

Chat

This is a communication tool that provides direct messages and team chat rooms, similar to Slack and Microsoft Teams, along with a group messaging function that allows Google Drive content sharing. A mobile app is available.

Groups

This allows you to email everyone in a group with a single email address. You can invite a group to an event and share documents with a group.

Keep

This is a note-taking service available on the web and has mobile apps.

Jamboard

This is an interactive whiteboard system.

Classroom

This web service aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The primary purpose is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.

Meet

This is a video-communication service. The online and phone conference service is also created with calendar events.

Contacts

This is a contact management tool. The directory shows all members with a NatCap Apps account.

Tasks

This lets you create a to-do list within your desktop Gmail or the mobile app. When you add a task, you can integrate it into your calendar and add details or subtasks. (This link takes you to the support page to learn how to use it.)
